Our learner has brought home his courage mindset and always reminding us, and himself, of our promises.-Sparks Parent

Sparks Studio: Ages 4-5

Monday – Thursday 8a-12p.

Our Sparks studio is Montessori rooted and self-paced, with outdoor play each day. It is designed to give your young Hero a chance to build foundations of math and reading, as well as the self-regulatory and social skills needed for success in the highly independent Acton Elementary Studio.

Our Sparks Heroes help to establish their own rules in their studio and spend time each day identifying, discussing and voting on issues that matter to them. With time outdoors each day, they learn to be in nature. Our Sparks Heroes play hard, practice kindness, team-work and self-governance. They present their discoveries and work at the exhibition at the end of each six week Session!

Our Sparks Heroes:

  1. Practice goal setting
  2. Practice risk assessment through free play
  3. Practice leadership
  4. Learn to play through hands-on exploration
  5. Move at their own pace for math and reading
  6. Identify issues and vote on solutions
  7. Learn to be in nature
